This is one of
the premier examples of this proof. It has wonderful color, almost perfect
registration, no paper flaws, printed on india, mounted on card, full imprints,
a fine piece of engraved printing. The scan does not do true justice to
the item, but it's close!
The yellowish cast
in the scan is more a creme color of the overall paper/card, likewise the
green is lighter by a shade or two in reality. This same yellowish cast
seems to have darkened the yellow orange to appear more orange than it
really is in person. |
