The Abraham Lincoln Wing part of the Peter Schwartz Collection |
![]() |
This diminutive American Phototype Company essay is a paste-up model composed of a vignette of Lincoln pasted onto a surface printed embossed frame (similar to Turner #38). This essay was also prepared with a carmine frame, of which this author can account for two; one was sold in the 1991 Joyce sale, and the other is in the Clarence Eagle collection, housed in the National Postal Museum. There may be as few as 3 - 4 known with the olive-green frame. This particular example
is the listing copy in Turner.
